GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides comprehensive support for the Distribution Sales group in order to
achieve sales goals and the
highest level of customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL JOB
FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides administrative sales support by responding to inquiries from distributors, end-customers and internal audiences in an efficient manner to ensure both customer requirements and the Companyfs sales goals and objectives are met.
2. Provides support to Distributors, End-Customers and Distribution Sales Group by verifying and managing distributor pricing, obtaining requested technical information, ordering samples, and any other requests in a timely manner.
3. Engage in sales development by working with distributors and also directly contacting end-customers from an inside position. Develop relationships, request bills of materials, offer alternatives from Taiyo Yuden and work with distributor to provide quotations, obtain approvals and get orders.
4. Works with Distribution Sales Group to develop end-customer account base and set and achieve sales goals.
5. Provide support to Distributors and Customer by responding to all inquiries such as crossing lists of parts, quote requests, environmental information requests, and technical data requests.
6. Prepare sales data for analysis, opportunity identification, pro-active sales activities and reporting.
7. Interact with overseas subsidiaries to request information when needed.
8. Occasionally visit customers as needed, ability to travel overnight.
9. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned by management.
10. Cross train on duties of Distribution Sales Coordinator.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
AND ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of sales concepts and customer service techniques.
2. Technical knowledge of electronic components and ability to cross competitor parts.
3. Knowledge of and skill in computer software programs (SAP, Word, Access, Excel, and Power Point).
4. Strong written and oral communication skills.
5. Strong follow up skills to achieve sales goals.
6. Ability to communicate with co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
7. Ability to pay close attention to detail and coordinate various activities simultaneously.
8. Ability to work independently with general supervision.
EDUCATION AND
EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelorfs degree;
and 3+ years experience as an inside
sales rep or sales assistant is required.
